Prouducts >> Bentonite : page 1, page2 I. Property
Bentonite is the naturally occurring clays of generated frequently from the alteration of
volcanic ash. It presents colloidal properties and its volume increases several times when coming into contact with water, creating a gelatinous and viscous fluid. The special properties of Bentonite
( hydration, swelling, water absorption, viscosity ) make it a valuable material for a wide range of uses and applications.
It has highly plastic property. When added to water it can absorb water to a great extent and it becomes
an excellent gel. Its main characteristics is stabilizing and lubricating property, preventing the water permeation and possibility to be recycled.
